I've tried two LED brake lights now, and neither of them work (connected directly to the wires). Maybe they're not supposed to handle 12v directly and I've blown both of them? But then one of them works when connected to the indicator wires, so maybe not.

This issue happens to any recent cordless Dyson vac including, but not limited to: V7. V8. V10. V12. V15. With older models, like the DC59 and the V6, a blinking red light could indicate a problem with the motor but, for the vast majority of cases, it's going to be a battery issue.

I have a 4-year old V7 Fluffy, that has recently developed a fault. Most times, it won't start, with the red LED flashing 10 times. If I'm patient and try it enough times, the cleaner may start.
